Name:
Craig Forsyth
Where do you live?
Aberdeen
Role:
Operations Lead Technician
Experience?
I have 11 years of experience working in the oil and energy industry, focusing mainly on internal pipeline corrosion monitoring, infrared camera gas detection and thermography surveys.
What attracted you to ECS?
I have been following ECS through LinkedIn for a few years now. I have an interest in composite repairs as this was commonly the practice used to repair many of the releases I would discover while carrying out gas detection or thermography surveys. ECS is quickly becoming renowned for its innovative composite repair solutions and the team are making big strides in the industry. I'm excited to join the team and to help shape the future of composite repairs.
Best bits about your new job:
Being part of a small, but highly motivated group, and being given the chance to assist with the research and development of new products and finding better work practices.
Worst bits?
As yet there is no downside to this job. It is a very reactive service we provide and we're required to be ready to mobilise at short notice. With a small team we are kept busy, and I like being busy.
How do you spend your spare time?
My spare time is mostly motorsport based. I am part of a handful of local car enthusiast clubs and attend as many meets as I can. I travel abroad to attend rally car events when possible.
Favourite colour?
Blue
Favourite place?
Collieston, North East Coast
Favourite food?
Thai curries.
What do you hope to achieve in your new job?
I am looking forward to being busy, and helping Simon and the team grow the company. I think I've come on board just as things are about to get very exciting for ECS and their clients. I'm happy to be part of it.
