FutureWrap repairs can be applied to caissons and risers above, below and within the splashzone. Based on the design of the repair, ECS can use a variety of its FutureWrap systems to repair any dimeter of caisson or risers and the repair systems can be applied off ropes negating the use of scaffolding

The design for caissons and risers (including straight pipework, tees and bends) is comparable to pipework with one significant difference. In caissons and risers it is often the axial loads that dominate the design calculation unlike in pipework and pipelines where it is the internal pressure. The axial loads come from the self weight (in-plane) of the component but environmental loads (wave action) (bending moment). Also if the design is to prevent a section of the caisson falling into the sea then a further design calculation is performed to ensure that the adhesion of the repair to the caisson is sufficient to transfer these axial loads, i.e. the repair will not disbond. The application of these repairs is usually performed off-ropes. All of our technicians are rope access trained.
