Engineered Composite Solutions was set up by a dedicated team of experts who had a vision to develop an engineered composite repair system, that would disrupt the energy composite market. After years of research and product development, “FutureWrap” was born. With over 50 years of composite experience, ECS has started its journey to become the leading supplier of engineered composite systems. Our main aim is to deliver high quality repairs, with an excellent service and a long term commitment to testing and innovation.
Professor Simon Frost
Technical & Innovation Director
Professor Simon Frost has worked with composite materials in Exploration and Production within the Oil and Gas industry for over 20 years.
As Technical & Innovation Director of Engineered Composite Solutions, Simon is responsibile for ensuring the technical quality of all aspects of FutureWrap composite repairs. He provides first-hand support to clients by offering technical advice and design services. Behind the scenes, he oversees ECS’s accreditations and heads up new developments and innovation.
Adding to his experience in the composite industry, Simon is Chairman of the ISO24817 Committee for Composite Repairs. He is also on the ASME board and is described by others as a Technical Authority. As a Technical Consultant in the use of composite materials, Simon worked with Shell International Exploration and Production providing advice and guidance in the application of the composite materials and ESR Technology. His visiting professorship was with Newcastle University, Engineering Department.
On ECS, Simon comments: “ECS has developed innovative solutions with its clients at the core. The company is professional, forward-thinking and fully committed to delivering results. I am proud to be a part of the team.”
Greg Innes
Operations Director
Greg has worked in the oil and gas sector for over 24 years, where he has enjoyed various roles. His time working in composite solutions saw him progress into project management and thereafter senior management, before taking on the role of Operations Director at Engineered Composite Solutions. His in-depth knowledge of composite solutions, along with his operational experience and understanding of the technical side of pipework, is a great asset to the ECS team.
As Operations Director, Greg is responsible for all aspects of the operational process, from initial enquiry to project closeout. With a keen interest in quality and management systems, he is also responsible for the implementation and management of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
Jen Garside
Sales Director
Jen has being in the composite industry for 13 years , looking after Clients and their requirements , She has an excellent understanding as to what is important to our clients from both a service and a delivery point of view and also keeping our clients up todate with new repair systems that could benefit their integrity needs.
Jens moto is to go above and beyond for our clients to ensure that their needs are met and delivered and because of Jens ethos towards her clients she has over the many years grown very good and loyal client relationships which she intends to keep and grow.
Jen Is delighted to be part of ECS and be part of the vision the team have to grow , its all very exciting and she is looking forward to taking our clients on the journey with ECS
