Professor Simon Frost

Technical & Innovation Director

Professor Simon Frost has worked with composite materials in Exploration and Production within the Oil and Gas industry for over 20 years.

As Technical & Innovation Director of Engineered Composite Solutions, Simon is  responsibile for ensuring the technical quality of all aspects of FutureWrap composite repairs.  He provides first-hand support to clients by offering technical advice and design services.  Behind the scenes, he oversees ECS’s accreditations and heads up new developments and innovation.

Adding to his experience in the composite industry, Simon is Chairman of the ISO24817 Committee for Composite Repairs.  He is also on the ASME board and is described by others as a Technical Authority. As a Technical Consultant in the use of composite materials, Simon worked with Shell International Exploration and Production providing advice and guidance in the application of the composite materials and ESR Technology. His visiting professorship was with Newcastle University, Engineering Department.
